I picked up my new beast last week (just in time for the blizzard

). Ti-Silver with Silverstone and M audio. This car is absolutely amazing. I am amazed at the raw power that lurks under the hood. My wife (a skeptic at best) has even professed her admiration for the car. I can't wait for the snow to melt and put some miles on it.

Has anyone experienced (or know of others who have experienced) a problem with the stereo shorting out within a minute or so of starting the car? It seemed to coincide with the warmup of the engine and within 5 minutes or so, there were no problems. This has happened twice to me in very cold weather (10 -15 degrees). Any thoughts?

Man, can you tell how "green" I am..

Wish I could offer some insight but my car is (still) at the VPC.

I am now being told that it should be in my grubby paws by the end of the month.

Welcome to the ultimate, ultimate driving world. Sorry the gremlins are messing with your stereo - sounds like s/w to me although I have not experienced anything similar. While you're trying to sort that out, enjoy the power (within the break in guidelines of course) and keep her shiny side up.

Congrats, and welcome to the board! I am sure you will resolve the stereo issue soon. You could search the archives to see if this is a problem that others have encountered.

My color and one of my options but just like MIB mine is till in the hands of the dealer

But only 2 days, 2hrs, and untold min till I turn it loose on the bahn

Will be interested to hear what the problem was since I had second thoughts about spending money on the audio upgrade anyhow. There were other go fast things I should have done first

Hope you've dug out from all that snow by now!!! This year we in Minnesota seem to be watching from the sidelines again as all the snow gets dumped on the East Coast. With the beast due to arrive any time now I don't care if we don't get any more snow

Stereo issue should be checked out by the dealership. I've heard of others reporting electrical anomalies as well as door-latch problems with extreme low temps, but I've encoutered no problems whatsoever with the 540 even in -15 to -20F conditions.
Please report back what you find out, and I hope it is resolved quickly.
