Glad this thread was started (again maybe).. I had the same question but posted it under the aftermarket products page - incorrectly..

The info is great.. and as per wheelsboutique, I was wondering abt the Borla and why there are so few members with it on their cars.

Did you do a comparison to the other systems like SS and Dinan? I was looking at it on the TMS website and it promises to look / sound great.

When you say "feels like night and day". What does that mean?

You are putting nitros on an M5?! I have heard that with the compression being so high that this would not be advisable. Have you heard otherwise?

if you do a search on Borla.. some of the older threads, you would find some comments on their customer service, etc.. I think that detracted a lot of people from buying it....

MAH - I have certainly thought about adding the x-pipe. Right now I am having internal conflict re my exhaust. I really love the way it sounds and drives (very strong). However, I'm not that keen on the looks. I don't like the way the pipes are smaller than stock

I really like the looks/idle sound of the Kellners and am thinking about changing out. I look forward to a ride in BRockets to see how it sounds inside while running.

So for now, I'm going to give the system some more time (have only had it 3 weeks (minus 2 weeks of bad snow).

Will either change out to K or get X-pipe at next mod run.

Nigel.
