Diamond Bright...?

Has anybody heard of Diamond Bright. It's an interior and exterior coating/protection system for cars. Like a scotch guard coating I guess. My dealer asked me if I wanted it put on the car, at an additional cost of £330. Takes about half a day to apply, supposed to, or rather guarantees keeping that "good as new look" for 6 years, well that's their claim. It's supplied by a third party company called Dual Ultra (I think....?) but is applied by BMW. Consists of two coats of something on the paintwork, or something like that... sorry I don't have much info at this stage hence my query to you guys.

Anyone heard of this one before? Would anyone recommend for or against this product. Answers on a post card much appreciated.

John

P.S. Baby is at the Dealer

In general, this type of product is nothing but a lot of extra profit for the dealer. Therefore, unless you see some true personal benefit to having it, I'd recommend avoiding it.

There are tons of aftermarket products of this type that you can apply yourself. You can save a lot of money as well as improve your "relationship" with your beast.

My "2 pence."

CapeCodM5, thanks for your input. That's kind of my gut feel as well.
