OK I have searched the list and other sites, and I have decided upon Zymol Carbon for my (hopefully of the boat) Jet-Black beast. I have never owned a black car before and I understand the issues involved with keeping it clean, but JB gives the subtle, monochromatic look we were going for. Besides the car won't be driven daily (work is 1 mile away) and is our "private jet" for the frequent long-distance multi-hour trips caused by our somewhat remote location. And as I told the bride yesterday, the M5's power is a safety issue when one considers the frequent passing required on the 2 lane roads in our area. Less time in the wrong lane
Anyway, while perusing the Zymol site, I came upon the "Estate waxes". Check these out. I thought the $400 and $800 blends were outrageous, until I found the top-o-the line! At least the crystal container is refillable for life at no charge.
Wow. But let's get real. I'm not using a wax that costs $400-800, or even $149 a tin. Check out P21S wax. It's only $25. I've used it and it IS better than a lot of the "best" waxes on the market. P21S Wax - Purchase On line
By far the best wax I have used is p21s, followed closely by Pinnacle Souveran.
I have tried many different types of waxes and sealents(Blackfire, Megs #26, and GC, Souveran, P21S, Klasse, Zymol and so on) and P21S is my favourite carnuba wax.
I have Zymol Carbon but it does not compare with P21S.
Check out www.autopia.ws for more information on this and many other detailing subjects.
Also, p21s can be bought at local Harley stores, it is just packaged as S100. They are the same wax, just one is sold as a motorcycle wax and the other as a car wax. Also, I would suggest picking up some of the P21S Paint Cleansing Lotion. This stuff makes the paint look incredible when p21s is applied overtop of it.
Try the Zaino system! Make sure that you prep your car real good before the first layer. The first thing I did was clay the car after the standard dealer delivery detail. You would not believe the amount of dirt and other material on the paint of a new car. It lasts much longer than the Zymoil I have used in the past. Chicago winters really test car detailing products. Check out the gurus at www.autopia.org for detailing tips.
Zymol Prep products are awesome. The pre wax cleaner, brings the car smoother than most waxes. I through in the 3M pad glaze as well.
But, I did not like the actual wax. It sought of smeared on, and was hard to get off. It didn't feel as nice as just the cleaner.
I have since tried SWISSOL, and its much better. Easier on and off.
I've tried the Maguires yellow #26 and didn't like that either.
Next on my list , which seems to be a board favourite, is the Sovereign Pinnacle.
At the moment the SWISSOL is out in front. So at this stage when my Beast gets here, after they have gernied off the cosmolene.
1. Clay bar the car.
2. 3M Pad glaze, by hand of course.
3. Zymol Pre wax cleanser. (At this stage its like silk)
4. Either Swissol or Pinnacle Soverign Treatments.
Ciao Happy waxing. My 540 has never looked so good.

I have a lot of experience with Zymol as I am an authorized detailer/retailer. If you are not going to drive the car daily, I would actually suggest the Concours Glaze. There is a difference in the depth of color and shine offered with the Concours over the Carbon. Either wax will last you a long time as you only use a tiny amount for each application. Follow the directions precisely and you will have no problems with application. The only time you have issues with smearing is when you use too much wax. While I have not tried P21S, I have heard good things about it. That may be another alternative you may want to look into. Hope this helps.
I have Carbonblack and use Zymol Titanium. I find it's worth the little extra over Carbon, especially given the wonderful British weather
After each wash, I like to give the car a once over with Zymol Field Glaze which keeps her looking beautiful

Well TCM, I'm not an authorized dealer or have any vested interest in any of these products, other than wanting the very best feel and look.
The Zymol Prep gear rocks, but you must have Too much canuba in the mix.
As for following the directions, I suppose I should mention, being the capitalist pig I am, I was only assisting. I paid a professional detailer to do the work in my Air conditioned garage.
When I said I wanted the best, he said a lot of people used Zymol. We tried it, but I wasn't totally stisfied, and neither was he. So we went to Swissol and found it better.
Still not perfect IMO. Another problem with Zymol I found was, even washing with the Zymol car wash, the effect was reduced by about 30% after each wash.
As it is harder to apply and remove than the others, and would need to be done on a Fortnightly basis, I won't be buying the wax again. But I will buy the prep gear again.
If you need to do it fortnightly than you want something that is efficent on and off.
Ferris, has a liquid green canuba, that is a blast to go on and very easy to come off. Looks awesome and feel fantastic.
So why don't I use that all the time? Cause it seems to wash off with water. As soon as the car gets wet, you need to reapply it to maintain that perfect silky smooth feel.
So my search for the perfect system continues.
