New member needs advice!!
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to everyone. I really enjoy the forums and I just became a memeber. I am huge BMW fan and bought my first 528i in 1997 altough it no longer resembles a 528i. I just bought a 2003 M5 and I am looking to start the tuning process again. Here is a list of what I have done to my 1997 528i.
M5 bumpers front and rear, M technic sport mirrors, bilstein struts with Bav Auto lowering springs, ESS supercharger, Dinan high flow throttle body, 18" M parrallel rims, aluminum pedal set, two tone leather tan and burgundy interior, Zapco Z600 C2-sl speaker amp, Rockford Fosgate Punch 2 Sub amp, Boston Accoustics 5.25 component speakers front and rear, 2 10" Infinity perfect subs, Kenwood 8" screen for rear view mirror with bullet camera for rear view vision fulltime, Kenwood 7" monitors in both headrests and both visors, Kenwood DVD GPS navigation, PSII mounted in back seat, Motorola V65 Mounted by vents and a Compustar theft detterent system with paging and autostart. Thats it. Now I am going to start on the new M5 with the same sound system and I have started with the Dinan CAI and software and Headers with the High flow air meter and a UCC short shifter!! Thinking about going with the throttle bodies and the velocity stacks also. I could use a little help deciding about new rims (Maybe 19"). I am thinking of selling the 97 528i and could use a little advice as where to start to try and sell a car like this one.
Thanks for listening and any help or advice would be great!!

Awesome list of Mods.
Congrats, and welcome to the board.
Did you pay $8,000 for the Dinan Headers? And if so are they worth it.?
A Dyno would be good at this stage to see where your beast lies in comparison to an S2, most of which have been falling short of the claimed 470 BHP.

I just ordered the headers and haven't had them installed yet. I did pay less than the 8000.00 though. I got a deal through a friend and only paid 6500.00. Not much of a disount but I will take it. Everything else was done to my 528i. It Dyno'd out a 311 hp. Not bad for an inline 6.

Howdy and welcome. It sure is nice to see another M5er from the Land of 10,000 Lakes! Have you already taken delivery? There's a Sterling/Black M5 that's been sitting in the delivery bay at Motorwerks for the past TWO WEEKS which is simply stunning!

Hi,
Welcome to the board. You are certainly a veteran on mods.
What is the 2-tone interior in your M5. Can you post pics? Sterling grey is a stunning exterior color and would love to see how it goes with a 2-tone interior.
BTW, love your handle. Care to explain?

welcome to the board =)
woah seems like you have a quite a list of mods done for your 528.
are you selling that car? or having it in addition to the M5?
you're going to enjoy the m5..
i would like to see pics of your 528 though, it must look pretty cool, especially the interior!

That Sterling M5 at Motorwerks had already been sold, but I'm not sure why it hasn't been picked up yet. There's no way I'd let MY car sit around at the dealership for that long. Perhaps the deal fell through?

Well the BaldGod is all to self explanitory! The little yellow guy is just about what I look like!! The two tone interior in the M5 is gray and black. It really looks sharp! I am taking pics of both cars and will post them this weekend!

Well the 528i with all the mods really flys now. It is quite a bit lighter than the M5 and gains great power in the mid rpm's. That being said the M5 just knocks my boots off!! The allowable power throughout all gears is just amazing to me. I am quite impressed. I will say that the 528 really handles amazingly well with the bilsteins and the lowering springs. I was going to sell it but I am having second thoughts. It's kind of like a baby to me and very hard to part with. It has 124,900.00 miles and still feels like it's brand new!!!
