Taking the Plunge w/ Dinan

After reading everyone's posts here about suspension and brake deficiencies (if you can really call them that), I have lined up the following changes:

Dinan Stage II
Front and rear strut tower braces
Brake air ducts
New brake pads (Ferodo - will be cut specially by Korman Autoworks)
ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid
Stainless brake lines

I can't wait until everything is complete!! Probably will be a couple of weeks... I'm participating in the CCA driving school on 3/10-11 and really excited about putting this wonderful car on the track!! I've been to Virginia Int'l Raceway before and brakes and handling are really put to the challenge on this circuit. I'll post my impressions of the changes later.

Thanks,
Barry

Maranello Man,

Currently, I'm not planning on replacing discs/calipers. I drove a 540i with Ferodo pads on the track and did not experience significant fade. So I'm hoping with the air ducts, stainless lines, and fluid that I will be satisfied with the results (given the $$ spent). Obviously, I'll consider disc upgrades when the stock discs need replacing.

Bottom line is the amount of money I'm spending on these upgrades is a risky proposition given that my wife is not too pleased already so basically this is all I can do for now....
