Anyone from NJ know of a quality independant BMW automotice shop................

Hi Guys,
Anyone know of a good auto repair/maintenance facility in the Nrthern New Jersey area. I know of MOTOR WORKS WEST located in Wyckoff, NJ. trhey are good but since they arean authorized DINAN dealer, they have recently implemented a new ploicy of NOT doing any work on BMW cars that are not having DINAN parts installed. So If you had the A.A. CAI system and wanted to get this installed, they will not do the job. they will decline the work. The same goes for installing an exhaust. If you had a KELLENERS exhaust and wanted it installed, again, they won't do the install. Any suggestions or recommendation ? Thanks in advance. Much appreciated guys.
Robert

They're not in Northern NJ, but Bodymotion in Ocean did a good job installing our Supersprints.

One of our members was present when they were stuffing an M5 engine in a customer's M3

So, Im sure they can install your CAI with no problem.

FAST 5,

I would recommend at least talking to Tom at High Marques Motor Works. They are close by for me, so I had him bang 3 of my winter rims back into shape (ouch). I was pleasantly surprised by the size and general order of his shop. The two mechanics he had working were both older mature guys and I had a chance to chat with both. One was fitting a beautiful stainless exhaust on an older 996. Said it took him all day, and it looked it. Very clean work. All enthusiasts, one mechanic insisted (didn't have to try too hard) that I take a test drive in a nice S4 that he just got done putting stage III turbos in .

Also seemed quite fair - one mechanic worked on my rims for a solid hour and they charged me one hour of labor, I think like $77. Although started in 1999, he stole the mechanics from large area Porsche dealer

From the installers page on tirerack:

You're welcome

I am in Mendham, just NW of Morristown. I like just stopping by there to drool over the eye candy. Mostly pre-owned Porsches but in beautiful shape. There are two owners, Tom has the shop while the other guy has the sales.

And Tony (the other bald guy) runs the machine shop.

I refer lots of customers there for Audi work and BMW owners for getting wheels mounted and balanced properly and without scratches. I trust them.
