Robert - They charged me $900- for AA CAI. There was a group purchase a couple of months for less, but I missed it. They sent all the required stuff and I got it in MA 2 days later. Good luck. Nigel

Nigel...way to go man.

Nigel,

Hadnt heard anything from you in a while dealing with the exhaust or the AA CAI. Glad to hear that you got both and you are happy with both. It really is a sharp system, and although you probably could make a "home kit" the AA system does have the watter baffle in there and fits and looks oh so stock. It truly is a nice set up.

Robert (Fast) PM me if you want details for the AA system. I was the one that put the group buy together and pretty much know that AA system forwards and backwards. Ill lend you any knowledge i have.

RayfulM5...the stock computer is fine, i actually took off Dinan software to make the car run better (still miss the throttle response though). I think good software will really help it out. If you have any questions, PM me too

I know a few of you guys are talking about adding the Powerchip to the AA CAI setup. Does anyone have an idea how that software would interact with modifications? I guess we need some guinea pigs.

BTW has anyone experienced any adverse driveability problems with the AA CAI?

Thanks,

Tom

Tom...

Tom,

I havent even had a hicup with the AA on...it really works that great. The even better part is that if you wanted to add some software to it, recommend powerchips the most or dinan stg II, it would be even better. The reason that I recommend powerchips more is that they will actually tailor the new program to the modifications that you have on the car, taking full advantage of that CAI and If you had an exhaust full advant of that as well. There are some guinea pigs sooner than you think....

I just drove my car for the first time in a good rain and was worried the whole time about water and the intakes but not a drop. If you have more questions...go ahead and PM me.

TFM5:

That is great to hear. I really want to do the AA CAI, Powerchip and a cat-back exhaust system. I am leasing my car....so I really want to be sure that I am going to keep it before I start throwing on aftermarket equipment. When I signed the lease, I thought for sure I would give it back. However, after 10 months with the Beast...I can't imagine life without it (sad but true).

Thanks again for your feedback.

Its an addiction...

Tom,

I thought I would just stop at an exhaust and some drop in K&N filters when I got my car....now look at my signature!

I understand your dilema with the lease...what I would say is that if you decide on an exhaust, you might want to go with Dinan since it is 110% covered under warranty. A good thing when you want to give it back (but why would you do a silly thing like that). also, if you had the AA CAI and wanted to go back to stock looking, all you would need to do it put back the stock grill instead of the AA one. I dont even think a dealer would catch that if they looked.

just some thoughts

you are correct sir...

Gustav...

The etched one was on my back glass outside just above the high stop and it just didnt want to stay on. The other two that I have are rock solid, probably couldnt get them off if I even wanted. It looked really good but oh well...

Triflow, I PMed you a few questions..

If you missed them I asked if you had to rank the mods you have in some sort of priority, what would that be.?

I want to do the Stop Techs, ss kit as well as many others.

Which mods would you do first (given that you have a lot of them and which can you not live WITHOUT?

Thanks in advance,

Andre

Ahhh got the reply.. must've missed it earlier.

Thanks for the input. The mods are for the street.. increased response etc.. appreciate the thoughts.
