Driving last night (traffic), went over traffic lights put foot on accelarator and Nothing. Lost all drive.:grrrr:
No bang, no noise before/after, no sign of clutch slipping recently.
AA recovered me to home and booked in to local garage today.
I spoke to Phil @ CPC and he feels it could well be "total clutch failure"
Its been a bad couple of months for the beast. :crying:
1st had Timing chain guide/ big ends replaced, engine feels and pulls great!
2nd, Keyfob intermittently working - ordered new battery for it yesterday
3rd, Alarm started going off for no aparent reason & couldn't stop it - Fixed - removed siren (short term)
4th, No drive!!!
Been an expensive one :crying: Then again, we don't expect to run these for nothing do we? That said she has been very reliable over the past 7 1/2 years (and 90K miles - let's rephrase that - 90K very fun miles:wroom: !)
Anyone have any experience of just loosing the drive so suddenly, with no warning what so ever?
Steve
