Video: The M5 powerded Hartge H50 vs. Alpina B3 vs the E46 M3

This has been up before but the movie is very good:

http://www.mycrashday.com/video/BMW3.mpeg

Although this H50 isn't M3 based it's still a remarkable auto with the M5 powerplant

This is the first I've heard of the Hartge. What's its story as far as availability, etc? Presumably you can't get one here (US)?

I was floored by the power of the Hartge. Anyone have any additional info? I went to their website, but there wasn't much there about purchasing/importing.

Anyone have one?

If I'm not mistaken the Hartge H50 was tested by Car & Driver magazine in 2001 and the importer to the US is DAZZ Motorsport in LA.

Very interesting clip...

The Alpina really does have a noticeably softer suspension - maybe it's just me, but my B8 feels quite a bit stiffer than that.

Pity they didn't test an H50 based on an M3 - the extra track probably makes it a touch more stable, I should think.

Good vid, though!

All-in cost for the H50 in the UK is around $150k...
