Help in need some info

I am new to this site. I ran a Subaru Legacy B4 RSK for a while which was great car fun to drive but unrefined and to small. So this summer (2002) i brought a new Audi A6 tdi 2.5se, this is a lovely car, great build quality and plenty of room. The problem is not eough power or driver involment,i have seen a black M5 2001 in our local dealers, i need to know the following
1. Can u live with it every day?
2. Does it handle as good as the reveiws say?
3. Whats the room inside like?
4. Whats the biggest fault with the car?
5. What else should i look at?
Any help will be glady recieved.....

Exclamation Warning

A word of caution:

These are very addictive cars, once you drive one you will feel a huge urge to keep it. Take it from me: I was set on either an S8 or an XJR, and here I am...

First, these engines are marvellous. optimized for three things only: Torque, Throttle response and Power. The flatness on the torque is like... really flat. The way an S8 is not.

At 800 RPM there is more torque available than most cars have at their peaks.

So before even test-driving one consider the numbers: 20 l of premium petrol per 100 km (mainly urban driving)

While _idling_ it runs 2 l per hour...

1 l of Castrol TWS oil per 10000 km (at EUR 20 per l)

Depreciation about EUR 1000. Per month...

and then insurance (sky is the limit)

maintenance (lotīs of expensive electronics and special parts)

A set of tires are EUR 1600.

(I think the total cost of ownership is about 4 times higer than a 520)

On the plus side: The handling is simply unbelivable. Nothing, I repeat, nothing is as much fun to drive and still comfy enough for daily and long distance driving. (Havnīt tried a Brabus EV12 yet. Those might come close. But cost 3 times more than an M5.)
