Increased ride height on new cars?

Hey everyone,

Been doing some shopping online, and it seems that this car is sitting REALLY high for an M5!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1875183198

Do they all start out this way and settle, or do the 2003's just sit higher? Gotta have "the stance," right?

Looks like it still has the shipping blocks in it. If it only has 3 miles that's highly possible, dealers usually leave them on until the cars are prepped.

The dealer forgot to remove my shipping blocks and after taking the car in twice and complaining they finally looked and saw them in place!! The blocks cause the rear end to sit about 1 1/2 - 2 inches high, and man does it ride rough.

I can't believe they actually forgot about that! Your M5 must've handled like a F1 racer!

With the shipping blocks in the car understeered very bad, and the ride was so rough that on small bumps, like a seam in the pavement, I would actually bonce up against the belts. I also have noticed that the outside tread on the two front tires has worn much moe than the center or insides.

I spent 9 months in St. Louis last year and I'm familiar with the area around Plaza Motors. They're located next to a corporate park and a residential area. Those pictures could easily have been taken within a block or two of the dealer.
