Kelleners 83mm exhaust, pedals, shortshifter arrived! (pics)

I picked it up from the airport last thursday, and it's been sitting in my living room all weekend, begging to be installed.

Kelleners is phenomenal with their customer service. Dirk, and Ralf are class acts. After shipping the parts, they followed up with a phone call and an e-mail to let me know.

I guess some may have complained about their shipping proceedure or lack of one, but I had no problem whatsoever locating my parts. The key is to stay one step ahead. more general advice than anything. If you know it's being shipped, ask for the shipping manifest, ask when it is scheduled to arrive and ask on which airline. With that, I just called Boston Logan airport, they directed me immediately to United Air Cargo, and they located the package in 3 minutes. The entire process took me 30 minutes, simple. For me, there weren't any hidden costs or anything. I just payed the customs fee, took my good, and went home.

Ok, enough talk, here are the pics, 83mm super sound exhaust, short shifter, and pedals. Note, the exhausts are upside down:

Ok, I have more pics, but i'll leave it at that for now. Enjoy. Vids soon hopefully.

        'Rocket:

Looking very good, although they would look even better on your car . That shortshifter looks just likes Rogue Engineering.

Now that's what I call looking after your car parts. Not in the garage or the basement but "in the living room"

        Way to go Rocket!

Way to go, 'rocket! Really does look so shiny! Be sure to keep them that way! Heck, maybe you should try parking your new M5 in the living room with newspapers underneath. That'd be a good way to keep everything perfect!

It looks like the interior of the exhaust cans are designed the same way as a Tubi exhaust cans except for the fact that the tips are obviously much larger! Looks REALLY mean!

ahh.. so the tips do look different from the eisenmann and g-power exhausts... I guess that settles the conspiracy that all 3 of those exhausts are the same ones.. I guess they do take time to differentiate the systems, although the cans are probably all from eisenmann in the first place..

Boston Rocket & others, having seen the inner area of the exhaust tip..........

Can any of you elaborate on what the inner black color lining is with the tiny little pin holes throughout the inner metal tip area?
Plus, there is steel wool type material layered between the inner black color lining and the outer polished exhaust tip. What does the steel wool type material do? Why is it there?
Any guesses or information on the purpose of the mentioned????
        Thank Guys.
        Robert

        Im not Ralf Kellener...but

From the lengthy discussions on exhausts from this board...i believe and im known to be very wrong....that is a heat shield used to dissipate heat from the exhaust before it hits the tips to prevent discoloration.

Steel wool is used as a heat dissipater (lots of strands equals lots of surface area) and also as a sound deadener. Makes it quieter as well as a tuning agent to tune the exhaust....
