Exclamation ! ! ! Unleashed the BEAST ! ! !

Now I know why you guys gave it the nickname.

After 1200 mile service today, Sport on, DSC off, 1400 rpm, dump the clutch and Lordy, Lordy. Thought about the shift at ~ 6500 rpm and made it without bouncing the rev limiter (I must not be trying hard enough), catching second hard, with the slight step to the right that only a limited slip will give.

Again the sweet siren song of jeweled machinery spinning back up into the music range, propelling these two tons as if by electromotive rail gun technology.

I am INTOXICATED by this machine. I am overwhelmed by its capability, placing my relative driving skill in stark contrast. I need to go to driving school. I need to go to the track at Summit Point.

I need to keep my license and resist the temptations on the street. Mere mortals driving the other cars on the road have no idea how much self control it takes to drive this car sedately.

I need to go to the 7-11 for milk - the one 35 miles away.

Yee Haa ! ! !

Steve

WOOF! WOOF! and again WOOF!

We know what you mean. Just puttering along in traffic I look around at the other cars and say to myself, they have no freakin idea what this car is capable of. I get a lot of admiring glances, mostly from younger car nuts who heard about the beast but can't believe they have one in their presence.

Rock on! & watch out for those cops!

Yeah, now you know how Clark Kent felt. Always so self restrained trying not to blow his cover

Invicto:
Enjoy yourself! But don't rev the engine too hard just because you have hit the magic mark. Take it slow and build your way up over the next 1000 miles. Your car will be grateful. And don't forget to switch on your V1.

Steve, et al,

I know exactly what you mean!!

and as far as the others on the road are concerned, I am noticing more and more people gawking at the BEAST on the highway...

I drove the BEAST to work yesterday as the weather in Houston was superb!! and was in heavy traffic on one of our fastest moving freeways - Sam Houston Tollway. A ZR-1 Corvette (for those of you who remember?) came by me at a high rate of speed...I was on the phone and had no intention of engaging since I could not concentrate on the task at hand if I did so. Anyway, I saw and heard him fly by me... it was a very well kept car.. looked mint condition and sounded incredible when he came by me at around 100+. Then .... he slowed down to get right beside me ...as I was doing around 70 or so...and he had a passenger with him. Both seemed to be in their 30's or so... and I got a big THUMBS UP! from both of them!

Nice to see others who also appreciate what we have!! - Long live THE BEAST!!
