Exclamation The E52 BMW Z8 Roadster is no longer.

You may all ready know this, but if you've visited any of the BMW sites you may have noticed the Z8 is no longer available. It has now been replaced by the watered down, patch worked Alpina version.

I congratulate all those who made the E52 a reality, who had a dream, a vision and without compromise produced one the most beautiful, most exhilarating cars ever made. As will the E39 M5, the E52 Z8 now goes down into car history, sure to become a classic.

A toast fellow owners, to the E52 Z8

Cheers.

Garage:

huh? does that mean Alpina is continuing the manufacturing of the Z8? as BMW stops?

It's only been recently that i've noticed the "real" beauty behind the Z8 and it will be missed thoroughly by the majority of car enthusiasts around the world

Z8's aren't very popular down here in OZ.

Its a value for money thing. Beasts are about $200,000AUS but a Z8 will set you back a wopping $300,000AUS.

You can get a 355 Ferrari for that and a 360 Medena for around $360,000AUD.

So the Z8 just isn't good value for money. Whereas the Beast is excellent value.

My 4 cents worth. OZ to US 2:1.

Ah, I guess we now know for certain that S62 engine production has ended, presumably the Alpina model just means they have a few more chassis than engines.
