CD Player Problem - Help !

Last night my CD Player refused to work, indicating "NO DISCS" despite being loaded and loaded properly. After many, many loads and re-loads, it did finally work - anyoine ever experience this ? Thanks, Bill

        Ditto!

This just started happening to moi after 2 years of heavy use ( I rarely listen to the radio).

Usually unload re-load takes care of it.

Of course you will not be able to duplicate the problem when you finally get an appointment at the dealership.

Who say cars have no soul?

Thanks Max - you're right about not being able to duplicate the problem, but that would imply first being able to get a Manhattan BMW appointment ! !

        Hope all is well, Bill

Yes, I too have just started having this problem after 2 years. The first time it happened the eject button did not work, so I eneded up slapping the top of the unit a few times and it finally ejected. Since then I've been able to "fix" it be ejecting and then reloading the magazine. This is my second unit - the first was totally dead at time of delivery - you never saw so many grown men work so fast to change it out! My '97 540 uses the same unit and has never had a problem
