i think a race forum would be great. now, one must visit each forum to find stories and tips on track days for each car series. if we had one forum, it would be immensely helpful. i know i could learn a lot from a e28 or e34 track driver, as well as the m3 people. we could also discuss bmw's f1 problems and successes.
what do you say?

Hey - and a clutch problem forum, and a modified M5 forum, and an OT forum, and a brakes forum, and a detailing forum, and a warranty issues forum, and ....

most car forums have a racing section- why not ours?
why search all other discussion forums within bmwm5.com for info on track prep, track days, track mods, etc...
we could combine it w/gumball, players run, open track challenge, etc.
greg if you're nice we'll let you tell us all about your laguna seca experiences again and even let you post some pics!
I am constantly taking my Z8 to the track, as you can see in the gallery at bmwz8.us and think a shared track experience, and the mods that it inspires, would make a useful and fun resource.
excellent! i was b as well, in the sterling gray m5. louv was in our group too, the black/caramel m5. fontana was my first cca event. your chapter puts on a great show! i can't believe they stopped running the track so that you could take some pics! that cracked me up! btw, your z8 is absolutely stunning. nice to see someone actually driving theirs!
they were rounding up the track marshals for their lunch break, so I just grabbed the chance, and did a couple of snaps at the Corkscrew. The Driving Concepts team and my local chapter have always been really great helping me get snaps done for the site. They always do everything to make sure that you have as much fun as possible at their days out.
I just spent last Tuesday up at Willow with them again, it was a dealer sponsored day, with only about 40 cars there it meant tons of track time. I was really getting to grips with my consistency, and perfecting my turn in set up, which really felt great. Willow is a really fun track in the Z8, big open, and just two gear changes nail the whole thing with the M power. I also did a few laps in a Cooper S, which took over a dozen gear changes, but was just sooo much fun, and so incredibly chuckable....mad grip and big smile fun!
