Adjusting Contrast in Service Menu . . .
There was a post a while back about how the new Nav software (v. 20) enabled dimming of the nav display at night by going to the service menu and adjusting the contrast setting.

My problem is that I am able to access the service menu (by going to "Settings" and then holding down the "Menu" button for appr. 10 seconds), selecting the contrast function and then adjusting the slider from 0, the default setting, to about -3. This appears to change the brightness level for both day and night lighting.

However, whenever I shut the car down and restart it, the contrast setting returns to the default 0 setting. Anyone know how to get around this?

That is odd. I guess there is still a bug that they almost fixed. Evidently, this is why it didn't dim before version 20.

Speaking of the service mode in v20, does anyone know how to adjust the speed sensitive volume in this version?
