Greg,
thank you very much for the info. You really add a tremendous amount to this site. Every now and then I run the movie file of your 911 TT from 0-140. Wow! By my count it took around 25 seconds, but you went up a little hill and also began rolling gently in 1st (I dont blame you- I wouldnt do a max acceleration any differently to my own cars).

M - thanks. Yeah, I did roll on in 1st. Also, I lifted a bit at the top of the ramp at about 80 to check behind me, I didn't slam the shifts, and I think I called the speed a second or so after I hit it. Still - it's quite a rush!
I keep looking at those videos too. I actually like the one I did from the M5 the best - I love listening to the sound.

I've had success using flannel as a polishing cloth. An old 100% cotton flannel sheet cut into squares and washed in a very cheap laundry detergent (no lingering chemical "softeners") works great. I learned this tip courtesy of Larry Renolds (www.carecareonline.com) who has given many car care demonstrations at PCA Potomac events. I'm going to try one of the microfiber cloths also. Ever-searching for the perfect shine...

Greg,
Do you know where I can get that 3M Perfect-it Show Car Detailing Cloth? Those toweling marks drive me crazy, too. I use Zaino Z1, Z2 and Z5 with 100% cotton towels and still get those pesty marks.
Thanks,
Carmen

Italia, and all - I have ordered a bunch of Meguiar's detail cloths. They gave me a great deal and I'll resell them at cost. I'm not wild about doing a bunch of shipping but we'll figure something out, like having you mail me a fed ex envelope ready to go, or something like that. Anyway, I don't have them yet - but Meguiar's has agreed to sell to the board through me at about 25% off list - a great deal. I'll keep you posted.
And racerx - I've used flannel. Trust me - these things are WAY better. I think you can buff your wax out with 1/8 the strokes - I'm not exaggerating!

Greg, If you get them in time for this weekend meet bring some along, I'm sure you'll be able to sell some.

greg,
When did they say you would receive them? Or do you just take orders and they are shipped accordingly? Great deal either way. Let me know and I will get you a prepaid UPS or Fedex return box.
Wish I had them on Friday afternoon when I get there to detail before our meet.

Greg,
Thanks for your diligence and generosity.
My fedx envelope, billed to my account, is ready to go.
If you wish, I'd be glad to help you out on this. You can ship me a bunch,(I'll send you a check) and I'll take care of dispensing them out.

Randy and Carmen,
I would be up for a little waxing. We could get steve as well. I will bet that we could get the Meguir's represenative to give us a demo with their product line. What do you think?
