I've been told that the only way to tell difference in traction on street tires would be under extreme use sessions....ie..the track...on the street. taking turns, won't see much difference between s03's and kuhmo's and pilots. The michelins were about 300 per tire for the front, 310 for the rear...Kumho's were like 129 and 169 front and rear respecitvely....

Kumhos in the WX

Glowrider...

I have the Kumhos and you are right, other than hard core sessions there isnt to much difference between them and the Pilots. They are more quiet and have a little more ride compliance which is an added bonus in addition to the wet weather traction that they have. The central water groove is great in straight line evacuation, but i have found they are slightly below a Pilot in change of direction in wet weather. As for light snow, i cant give you an idea on that one because FL never sees the stuff.

If you have any more questions about them...PM me

Thanks...I've been persuaded to go for a wider tire...Spent an extra 200 bucks and ordered Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions in 245-40-18 and 275-35-18. Hopefully this will offer better handling and traction in the wet weather.

Good move, S-03s are a much better choice then the Kumhos. Better in the wet and dry, they do wear qucikly though.
