My ///M5 is A$$less this week

Due to repainting the bumper (Paint defect) my M5 is A$$less this week. I couldn't see myself leaving my baby in the bodyshop so I drove it home to my garage until the rear bumper is ready to be back on. Just in case how our beast looks without the rear bumper... please go on... It was difficult for me to drive my baby home like this but it was a short drive. Also took this opportunity to polish the exhausts tips.

Enjoy

Sorry about the high res. pictures

just bring the car to the bmw dealer and park it next to the 7 and you will have enough "average rear end" for both vehicles

sorry to hear the rear needed to be repainted. but these things are at least fairly easy to do. one question, how come your car has the Dinan badge but it doesnt appear to have the Dinan exhaust? Am I missing something? Either way- the polish job on the exhaust tips is nice! best wishes for a speedy reinstall of the rear.

I have following Dinan:

Stage II suspension - 5 points
CAI - 3 points
Front Strut Brace - 1 point
Stage II Software - 1 point

That makes 10 points to get the badge. I'm not really like the dinan exhausts.. Too loud for my taste.. I'm getting SS Exhausts instead.

Sang,
What was the paint defect? I have noticed small spots appearing on my back bumper that can't be waxed, washed or clayed out!

So that's what the back end looks like without a bumper in place! Did you happen to see how it was removed? I know that I saw instructions/pictures a while back thanks to louv but its always good to have my memory refreshed!

That could be mine! Looks identical except for the exhaust and license plate.

I see you've decided to go with the SS exhaust. When do you get it?

Sang,
With your bumper gone it looks like you're ready to install the M5 trailer hitch! (hint hint)
Hope we get to see you at Winterfest at the end of January!

Dave,

That was it. Misterious black dots. I should have showed it to you when you came to Jax. When they removed the bumber, the lower part of the bumper was worst. it was covered with black dots. Very strange. Looks like they are in between the paint and clear coat.

BTW, when are you coming to Jax again?

Take care,

Sang
