I have a BIG problem with the rear deck rattling while playing music. When I put the sunshade up it gets a little better. Has anyone had any experience getting rid of these rattles? Dynomat?

I HATE RATTLES

I have a rattle coming from the rear sun-shade, at least thats what it sounds like. I'm really not sure. But it is annoying as F*@#. I guess I'll have a friend drive so I can detect exactly where the rattle is coming from. So the best solution is ???

I tried raising the sunshade and it went away for a little bit, then outta no-where it started again. I will check the rear brake light too.

mine sounds like a blown speaker and only rattles when the bass hits.

My rattle was the seat belt hooks for the child seats, I simply lifted up on the plastic cover and left it tilted a little. Not all the way in and not completely removed, although I did not have the M-Bass option on that car.

I messed with the rear shade a little, kinda just pulled it away from the glass just slightly and let it snap back into place, now the noise has seemed to dissappear. Not really sure why its gone now, but hopefully it won't comeback.

So is there a definitive conclusion whether this is coming from the sun shade or the speakers (or perhaps both)?

I have a little rattle, but that is coming from my stock (6x9 crappy) Nokia (non-M Audio) subs, which will get ripped out pretty soon anyway. I am thinking of adding the rear manual sunshade (only $100 or so and a DIY job), but if this causes rattling I may think twice about it...

Based on the design, it's a combination of several things. Awhile ago, I wrote a thread on lining the sunshade with electrical tape to fill the gap with the deck when the sunshade is down. It help's alot but not a permanant fix, especially if you really load the bass. After doing that I noticed that the speaker grill rattled. Then, there's also the rear brake light cover that's located in the trunk. That will also rattle. The fix for that is to seal the edge with silicone. I've also tried sealing the speaker grill with silicone, but with no success.

Summary of possible problems I've gathered from experience and what I've read here:
1) Sunshade
2) Speaker Grill
3) Rear Brake Light Cover
4) Rear Brake Light Assembly Hitting Glass
5) Cheap Speakers
