Well l've finally got a track car.....and l must say the beast is very happy about that. The M5 had to go into the shop for another rotor shave this week, and now their on their last few thou of use:(
I also have changed the ram ducting l had to the engine to the brake ducts as l ended up f#$%& the rotors a few weeks back at a track day in Miami. The fog lighs are now the CIA for the engine.
I will post up pics and info when it's all done

So back to the M3....I got in contact with Al Zilinsky who had his M3 up for grabs l also had James Safrons as well in the picture as he had a awesome M3GT 4 sale...very strong and one l really wanted at the time. I found out James went and sold it last week, so l got shut out on that one...but it's owner is in South FL..might find him one day??
Then Al's car comes along, and it's in FL to hmmm l think to myself this could be a good buy, so no trucking the Safronas car from CA....so thats good
Al sent me some pics and few days later l said l would take it off his hands and the deal was done
I'm heading down to see it today and all being that l'm 100% happy with it l'm off to the track on Sunday to give her a test run on Sunday at the Chin Motorsports track day at Moroso.
I will also run the beast as well, but only if it gets wet, as the M3 will only be on slicks.... Al didn't have any wets ready at such short noticeI will let you guys know and see if l can get some vid of the day....and the M5 agin. I will get the vid of my 1st track day in the beast at Homestead l did some weeks up on the site ASAP. My computer keeps ****ting it's pants when l try to load inages from a camera
:confused3

Apples: That isn't just a track car - that's a freakin' race car. I am jealous. It should be a BLAST to drive. I'd love to know your first impressions once you get it out on the track. With that set-up and slicks I think you'll be BLOWN AWAY at the intensity of the cornering and braking G's.

So cool. Congratulations! (And please be careful - we want to keep you here to entertain us for a long time!)

P.S. - Your M3 pics are in your M5 album. You might want to create a different album for these - makes them easier to find.

Cheers -

Apples! It's About time!!!! Congratulations.

BTW, the car de Witt refers to (Bentzen's), my race car and your car do have some relationship.

Bill Bentzen's car is the TWIN to my car (at least until it was repainted).

Both these cars were owned by Steinlein Motorsport of Germany.

The Engine in your car is virtually identical to mine....in fact Al bought that engine from Steinlein Motorsport!

The price Al advertised that car for is a STEAL....If you were to build that car, it would cost you at LEAST $60K but probably more like $70K.

Let's seee

used M3 $18K
Engine $15K
AP Brakes $5K
Carbon Fiber Body Parts $2000
Race Clutch $2000
3.73 Differential $1700
JRZ Suspension and Springs $6000
Stack Data Aq Systemj $5000

I'm forgetting a bunch of other stuff! Here's a pic of my car at the 2000 24 hours of Nurburgring

I forgot other stuff.

Cage $5K
Seat $600
Steering Wheel $300
Harnesses $150
14 Wheels $5000-7000
Fuel Cell $2000
AC Short Shifter $700
Lexan Windows $500

Plus Install for all that stuff.

I think AL must have spent close to $90-$100K developing and building that Car. I think he adversited it for $35K, YOU GOT A GREAT DEAL!!!

I'm going to head out in the beast in the morning to learn the corect lines for Moroso and play with the M3 when the solo drivers are doing a session.
I'm very excited out the learning how to drive the M3....and really have to start fresh and remember l'm in a totally different...real race beast.
I know my heart will be pounding when l pull out for the first time.....but you gota love that to. I have radiocomunication with my instructor (his helment) coz that came with the car....need it today big time. I will get my helment setup with the plugs/mic when l start again next year.

The sound of this car is very real and you can feel this car big time and pretty loud to, Al Zilinsky said it has one awesome sound at full tilt.
The suspension in it now is like a rock with 1,200lb springs......gezzz. I tried to shake the roll cage the other night at his shop and it would NOT move it was like it was on blocks
I found out the taco is broken, so l will have to change on the red light display...that kicks in at 6,800rpm and max power is around 7,200...320+hp

I WILL be taking it easy out there today and l will be downloading all the info l can about how this bady works and handles.

There will be some nice and quick cars at Moroso today....l got a look at many of the cars last night at the hotel.
M3's e36/e46 - and old M5...good looker, porsche's corvett's, Lotus (female driver 1st time) and many more.
Seeya there South FL boys at the track.

Nice pics - what a great day for racing!

So, the obvious question is how is the new car and how does it compare to the M5?

No, the more ovbious question is...Who in the hell is driving the N500???....I can't beleive I was not entrusted with the Nowack beast.....

Apples,

I'm hurt!!!:crying: :crying:
