Hot off the press: Dinan for Z8 by Christmas!
I've just recieved news from my Master Tech that Dinan will have a 47HP Kit available for the Z8 by Christmas. It will include:
- new software
- velocity stacks and throttle bodies
- headers
- differential
- carbon fiber intake system
THEN by spring 650HP supercharger system!!! M5's will see this first.
No pricing as of yet.
My chestnuts are already roasting...

Eh, and at what cost?
I, for one, would not be interested in compromising the purity of the Z8.

I'm guessing that it's the differential that's got you daydreaming the most (and the intake being on the other end of that spectrum) ... keep us updated on this. Your Z8's gonna become a one-of-a-kind here in BC (or maybe even Canada?!)

I am not so sure if I can get to excited about the 47 HP with all these modification. Judging that this is not RW, I got 40 HP just with the Hamann exhaust system and ECU remapping. Why can't they offer identical packages for the M5 and Z8, ie 75 HP??? And I am sure that will cost a pretty penny....

Wow Lupo you're going all out again! I still haven't even gotten a chance to try out your Z8 yet!
I thought you'd be able to get 70 more HP from all those Dinan performance mods that you're doing. Why only 47?!?
BTW my mom bought a house up in Richmond so I guess we're now practically neighbors. You'll no doubt be seeing more of me up there.
I was just up there for the Z4 intro at Jessel BMW. Didn't see you there.

sorry for the typo. It should have read 470 HP. Off the record I'm hearing $40,000.00 CND for the kit. Anyone want to guess to the price of the supercharger? $$$ Not sure if I'm going full bore on Dinan this time out...we'll shall see. I'm definitly upgrading to the ACS suspension. Claus and Macfly reccomend highly, and after running the rally last weekend this car needs it. The understeer ( nose plow ) is scary... almost lost the car twice on some twisties. Dinan won't have one out for the Z8 till March, and if Dinan says March it'll probably mean August.
Jason: Glad to hear your moving up in the world. I'm sure we will see more of you, amigo.

Lupo,
Check out the Hamann coil over kit as well. It will give you different settings when required.
