Old M5? It should be the one you can buy in the shop today.
No one seems to be certain but when the new M5 E39 was launched it was given 35 points. (tested 3-99)
Where the extra 6 points come from I actually don't know but things have been updated I understand.
I just hope they re-tested it and didn't just give it another few points just because...
I have a file I can send to Gustav if he likes

Also the RS6 Saloon was tested by Swedish Magazine Teknikens Varld. This is a magazine I trust.
0 - 100 km/h 4.99 sec
0 - 200 km/h 17.56 sec
402 m 13.13 sec. @ 177.84 km/h
70 - 130 km/h 4.7 sec. (any M5 figures?)
Braking from 100/200 km/h 36,8 / 151 (meters)
M5 E39 was tested at 5.32 s to 100 km/h.

The M5 was tested in Teknikens Värld nr 16/2002. Here is the performance figures:
0-100 km/h - 5,32 seconds
0-160 km/h - 11,6 seconds
0-200 km/h - 17,42 seconds
0-240 km/h - 26,63 seconds
70-130 km/h - 4,75 seconds
I think it´s strange that TV gave the M5 5 stars in this test and suddenly it has 4 stars in the RS6-test and so does the RS6.

It is equally strange that the first test drive of the RS6 in T-V was not so good and the second deeper test more or less overwhealming.
English EVO also gave the X-Type R 5 stars as well as the M5.
But both T-V and AMS gave it 4 out of 5 saying the M5 is better.
But it's all about emotions I guess...

Hmmm...if you give it a second thougt it is not strange, only a little bit hard to imagine for the M5 lovers maybe.
They gave the M5 5 stars before they tested the RS6.
After testing the RS6 it is now the
As you can see in the comparison:
"BMW M5 falls on technical knock-out."
"The old master is beaten and irritatingly for BMW it is a matter of technical knock-out.
The fact that the BMW M5 is 124.000 Euros less expensive doesn't help when the RS6 has a better engine, powertrain and chassi"
The RS6 still got 4 stars though. S-Type R, E500 and X5 4.6i S 3 stars.
Not my words, don't kill the messenger!

Well, the strange thing is if the M5 got 5 stars three months ago and the RS6 is better, why doesn´t the RS6 get 5 stars??

I hate to say it but if you change the software in the RS6 it will absolutley smoke an E39 M5. Just look at what they can make an S4 do. I bet with computer reprograming over 500 hp is definetly possible. I HATE AUTOMATIC TRANYS
