Fixed R sway bar bracket but it still makes noise - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

This week i took the beast in for a sway bar bracket that had broken and was causing a creaking noise on right hand turns. Although the noise came from the right front the service advisior and the tech told me that it was a rear sway brkt. So i take it to them and have them fix it...as im pulling out of the lot I make a right hand turn...."reek!" GOD DA#M IT! Its not fixed...

Any ideas as to what it could be?

-It comes from the right front
-You cant see anything while looking under or around the car
-Its only heard while compressing the right spring (sometimes uncompressing it too)
-Not heard every single time

I think it might be a spring that its unset in the spring seat...who knows? Im lucky that I made an appointment for my shifter that they didnt put in because of time because now i need it for the squeek and a new SES light.

I had what appears to be a similar problem, along with some others on this board and it seems a loose/broken exhaust bracket or hanger may be causing this. It made sense to me that the exhaust system was "pushed"off center when turning thus explaining the noise worsening when in a turn. Shimming the exhaust bracket took care of the problem. Try searching previous posts under "mysterious noise" Hope this helps.

i had a sqeek mystery noise. it sounded like my
diff was squeeking. it happened when i would
coast to slow down with the clutch engaged. or
if i pushed the clutch in. it seemed everytime
the diff would have strain on it it would squeek.
ended up being the exhaust.(tech thought forsure it was suspension) not the bolts being
loose, it was where the aftermarket exhaust was
clamped on the stock pipes. it would shift from
the torque or something. so we pulled them
apart greased it up then reclamped it. the sound
vanished. now its slowly coming back. so they
said to weld them together. the only way to find
the sound was to hook "ears" up to the bottom
of the car. also had mystery squeek from center
bearing before. that was another story.
