Hi Guys,
I just came back from NJ DMV offices, since I wanted to apply for a personalized plate for my soon to come 2003 model M5 car.
The plate I had in mind was "MACHINE".......................
I think this word says it all for the M5 car!!!!!!!
After all, the BMW slogan is" The Ultimate Driving MACHINE"
What do you guys think of this name for the M5 as a plate? Anyone out there have it, outside of New Jersey. Its already taken in N.J. Check this out, an older woman (approx. age late 50's) has it on her car. It gets even better, its on a 1998 Dodge Stratus. What the .......... ?????????
I contacted her and asked her, if she would be interested in relinquishing her personalized plate, so I could apply for it, thus take over the plate. I told her I'd make it worth her while, by offering her $1000.00, for her to give up the plate. She was not interested in the least bit! End of conversation and no chance of getting this as a plate for the beast M5. Oh well.
Maybe one of you guys will get it, in another state/country.
What do you think?
Thanks.
Robert:cheers:

Ya’ know, I used to live in NJ. I am sure that for the $1,000 that you are offering I could find some nice “family guys” to go over and gently persuade her (wink, wink) into giving up the license plate.

How about ULTIMATE or ULTIM 8

from BMW's "The ULTIMATE driving machine"

Yeah. Make her an offer she can't refuse...hmmm

Better ask Don Gustavo for his permission.

Saw a 750 iL today. Plates were the Calif. children's special with the hand print on it. There was "V12" to the left of the hand, and "BYE" on the other. Sweet, but better an M5 with "V8" or "M5" on the left side, no?

found out a month or two ago that you can order a specialized plate in ca and not immediately register your car with it. some you can hold onto for free (kids) while others (tahoe) require you to pay an annual fee. just got the tahoe one as a graduation present to my gf (nickname zelda); she doesn't get it 'til '04. i added a space bt. the a and m.

and i got this with the prospect of owning an m5 (any variant) in the future. accidentally no space added bt. hand and go (may try to reorder upon receipt).

got the idea of the hand from a thread on here. try doing a search-there are many interesting combinations. perhaps it'll spark an idea.

I know mine is not very creative but I still like it, "M5POWER." pretty much says it all. :D

MWM, I just noticed that you have a new avatar. How did you do that? You didn't choose that from the list of avatars did you?
