        DVD movies on NAV screen

Has anyone been able to play DVD on the NAV screen. Since our maps are DVD based, just curious, it would be nice to be able to do this.

Isn't the Nav System CD based, not DVD?

Correct BMW's system is based on the Phillips Carin. It is CD-Rom based.

Acura's system is based on a DVD.

That is why BMW's need several CD's for the entire US, and Acura's need only 1 DVD.
