Post airbag warning label removal

Has anyone found a safe way to remove those distracting labels from the visors?

Funny you bring that up, I asked my dealer today at the 1200 mile check up. Having sold about 15 cars for them per year for the past 5 years, they usually do for me whatever I want. But today they told me that it was not a sticker that could be removed, it was painted on. If I wanted to order new ones, those would come with the warnings as well. They assured me that there is no getting around them.

Check Nov 11 thread on this. I used Goofoff (sp?) recommended from another board I think. I went too fast, rubbed too hard and rubbed off some of the black color from the visor. Let the liquid do the work instead of hard rubbing. Its still black under the black and hard to see but I know I messed it up a little. A new visor is $200. Good luck.

It is against the law for the dealer to remove the sticker in question –however, after attempting to remove mine and being only partially successful I asked my dealer for help. They said, “You mean you want us to remove the ‘glue’ from your visor – no problem”! Looks much better especially since I have black interior. I suspect they used goof-off but cannot confirm. Luckily, I didn’t screw up the visor!
