Calipers of Red

After doing some research on the various products available and possible issues (none found) my weekend project, weather permitting, will be to magically elevate the M5 off the ground, clean and scrub the brake calipers clean and apply the G2 brake caliper paint to them in Hell Red. The stuff is high-gloss and supposed to stay that way for years, ready for 900+ degrees F abuse, then detail the "BMW" raised letters on each one of them in black. 24 hours later, the wheels are on and then I can look at them and go, "oooohhh, looks *****in'" Started last weekend but noticed my front rim slightly bent on the inside of the rim, had it fixed properly which took most of the day and had to try this another day. Be very careful of the rim repair places around. I saw examples of some of the big outfits' work. Incredibly bad and downright unsafe! If anyone wants to see how they look, I'll post a pic or two. aufwiedersehn

I did the same thing. They look great! I actually used nail polish on the ///M logo them clear coated it. I used the correct M colors and it rocks!

Remember to get the calipers REAL CLEAN. I used a rotary wire brush and then a blas of Brake Clean, Primed them then painted.

Good Luck

Tim

c4m5-- With all the brake dust continuously being produced, what's the situation at the calipers, do they stay surprisingly clean or do you have to pull the wheels when you clean/detail?
