Question regarding STERLING GREY color......

Hello Guys,
Im sunmitting an order for a 2003 model M5 car. My two choices for the exterior are, TITANIUM or STERLING GREY color.
Does anyone have the Sterling grey color? If so can you tell me if this particular color (Sterling Grey) has ANY other color mixed into the paint, i.e.: goldish or yellowish tone color. Someone told me that the Sterling Grey was mixed with this type of color and when the sun hits the paint you can see & tell that it is not a true charcol grey color. Any truth to this???
I currently have a 2000 model 540i sport (Titanium color) so I know exactly what this color looks like.
Can any of you guys post large %& clear PICS of the Sterling Grey color, on a M5 car?
Thanks so much.
Robert

It is not a straight charcoal grey color. It's got some brown to it I think. Looks very sharp though.

Sterling Gray is really beautiful, and much more unique than titanium, which is the most popular color by far (because it looks great too). BMW always has one or more tinted silvers in their color line. The tint of this is very subtle, but a yellow-ish beige - perhaps like coffee with a lot of cream in it. But again, that is only the root color - it is only a tint and very subtle. There ARE pics of the color on this web site. Did you try a search?

Yea, but blue max's pics show the color pretty well. Where was that taken anyway? looks familiar...

Anyway, while I like the color, I still wish Steel Gray was used instead.

I have sterling grey and love it. The pictures, at least on my computer, don't do the color justice. It goes from gunmetal grey to grey with the slightest touch of brown, depending on the light. an m5 in sterling grey, imo, defines both stealth and class. I've always had, and loved, black cars but they're a dickens to keep clean. My biggest problem with the sterling grey is working up the energy to clean the car as it hides the dirt so incredibly well. i have no regrets on this color and would be surprised if anyone on the board who has one is disappointed.
