Post Questions for Fred Courtot

Fred,

I asked this in another thread, but you probably missed it.
Where did you get those front spoiler lips or whatever you call them?

Also, do you have any feedback on Precision Stereo for audio installation, or aftermarket parts installations?

Thanks!

Sorry,

I just saw your message.

In regards to the splitters, they are Hamaan. I got them from Streetwize in Fremont. The cost was $800. Expensive for what it is.

In regards to precision car stereo, they did a great job on my car. They do great work. I might upgrade my stereo system some more. I love music and sound and feel I can use a little more power.

hope this helps. Also, if you ever go to Streetwize, ask for Sean or Fred, and at Precision Car Stereo, ask for Simon.

Tell them Fred Courtot referred you.

Fred,

Thanks for the info. $800 for the splitters? IMO, they look very nice, but I don't think I want to spend $800 for it.

I went to Precision Stereo this weekend. I was referred to them by my boss, who takes all his very nice cars there. Like you, he said they do very nice work, clean. I talked to Simon, and he told me I could do a custom made box for the subwoofer using a Nakamichi amp. The only thing I don't like is that I have to leave my car there for 3 days, yikes! I did mention your name, and he said the system would be exactly like yours.

What else did you have in mind for the upgrade? I thought that anything else would mean taking out the stock amp, which means you need to take out pretty much the whole system?

The picture he showed me was of a white M5, like mine. I know your car isn't white, so I wonder if someone else on this board has also gone to them for install.

I'm still trying to find a place to get my exhaust installed...

Thanks for the info!

What type of exhaust do you need to get installed? I assume it's not Dinan or you would have had them install it for you.

Streetwize motorsports can install exhausts for you. Again ask for Fred, Sean or Art. 510-623-8898 http://www.streetwize.com

Regarding the sound system, I may want to replace all speakers. Right now I only did the custom enclosure with amp. I like it but want a little bit more bass and high's. Are you going to the Feb 3rd event? If so, you can here my system their. I eventually want to add a DVD set up, but for now, I want louder sound.

And yes, $800 is way too much for the splitters, without the paint as well.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Fred

Fred,

If you saw my other posts, you'll see its the B&B triflo. I'm afraid Dinan will sabotage the installation

My usual mechanic is booked til end of January. There are many other places that do exhausts, but none have experience with the beast. I'm considering just taking it to one of those places. An exhaust should be a very simple install right???

I hope to be at the Feb 3rd event, but not sure if I could make it. I'm considering getting the sound upgrade and a stage 2 suspension. If you have both I'd love to check out your car.

Thanks!
