Difference between wheels for manual and automatic??

I just called to order some BBS RK wheels for my 540i - I was asked whether it was automatic or manual... I'm curious, given the same exact wheel (BBS RK), are there differences for an automatic or manual?

I don't understand how that matters?

it does not matter, they are asking questions from a form letter they are supposed to follow while a customer orders.

Oh yes there is a difference between auto and manual wheels. You are not allowed to have more than 17 inch wheels on an automatic! No more than 8 inches wide either. LOL.

Only manual's are allowed wider wheels!

I could not resist,

Mark
