V1 arrived and Exhaust install recommendations?

My V1 came in yesterday. When I bought my M used, I found a strange RJ11 cable that extended out of the headliner near my passenger side visor. I plugged it into my V1 and "I saw the light" (or lights) !!!! My M5 came prewired for V1 Now I don't need the stupid cable dangling all over.

Also,

My B&B came in today!!!

Does anyone have a place they'd recommend to get it installed?

Its been a good week

Lucky guy. It is apparent to me that the person who had the car before had already made the modification for perminent wiring for the V1 in the headliner. Very nice.

I am not sure about the B&B install, but ask Dan, he will get you connected I am sure. Are you coming to the Feb. 3rd event? I would love to hear your exhaust.

I intend on being there. But I am flying out for a week the next day, so the wife might not be too thrilled, if you know what I mean.

Actually, I do know of a place that can do you a great job. They keep a low profile, but the stuff they get in there is AWESOME!

Tire and Wheel in Campbell. Talk to Steve, and tell him John's friend with the M5 (don't know if he remembers my name) sent you. He'll get you a good time slot and maybe cut you a deal. I have the number somewhere if you need it.

As for the pre-wiring, now THAT'S a nice feature!

Thanks bobafett. What have you gotten done there, if I may ask?

Has anyone gone to Dynospot in Mountain View? I'm thinking about going there. www.dynospotracing.com
I was going to get it dyno'd, then install, then dyno'd again. I don't expect a big HP change, but I'm just curious.

Nothing yet. I just know that they're very good based on clientele and the results of some of their work. Of course, they're best at supercharging Tahoes, but to every man their own.

I did see them do a conversion from 540 --> M5 before the whole kit thign started...i was appalled but impressed. Too bad he kept it auto.

Mark: hey, it was luck. Funny you should think I would tho.

Bobafett,
In spite of your recommendation, I'm a little hesitant to take it there because you don't have personal experience with them.

I usually take it to my mechanic, who only works on BMWs. However they're booked until the end of the month. This exhaust is burning a hole in my floor , so I gotta get it put on soon. If someone in the Bay Area bought an exhaust, who would you guys take it to???? My friend suggested Dinan, but I don't think Dinan would be too happy to install a Triflo exhaust. This isn't rocket science, measure cut and mount right? I just don't want them to F it up.

Anyone else have suggestions?

I understand completely, but I've had friends who go there all the tiem for mods. Only reason I haven't had any work done there on my M5 is because I haven't decided to mod it yet (although they have ordered steel braided brake lines for me and some motul 400).
