It's a fairly interesting read regarding the Hennessey Motorsports. I thought some people might be interested.

"For example, in April 2001, according to a detailed Internet posting, one eager buyer sent his Dodge Viper GTS, with a check for $122,500, to Hennessey Motorsports in Houston. The check was for converting his stock Viper into a Hennessey Venom 800 Twin Turbo, and it was supposed to be delivered in 12 weeks. Later, the buyer sent an additional $20,000 to pay for a further horsepower boost to 1000. But the owner didn't get the car back in 12 weeks. In fact, some 10 months later, in February 2002, no work had been done on the car—and worse, according to the buyer, several parts had been removed from his stock Viper and sold off! This owner has since filed a lawsuit against Hennessey seeking the return of his car, his $142,500, and the usual "punitive damages."" car and driver

No mercy did ur issue ever get resolved? How did SW work out with his old z06? man I'm amazed that this guy is still trying to explain how he dicked over these ppl. Now he will only recive cars after all the parts are in. hahahaha I wouldnt even drop off my laundry never mind my car.

you should go to www.viperclub.org forum and under "Performance" read some of the threads about jh. he is a crook and ripped off quite a few folks from out of state. the problem is that regardless of his bad rap he is still trying to sell his cars further deepening the steal-from-the-new-customer-so-you-can-install-on-overdue-one cycle.

his bbb record is 10 pages long (somebody posted it) and he owns lots of money to various suppliers.

i dont undestand how a man like him is not in jail..

I never got anything resolved. The sad thing is that he took a 130k deposit not too long ago from a guy in PA and a few weeks later personaly flew out to get another 30k from the same guy.

I spoke with a detective i the Houston PD and my good friend Hennessey has a lot more than me to worry about!!

No Mercy, wouldn't it be worth it to goto court about this matter? i am sure that you could form a coilition (bad spelling) with the other clients that got ripped off, and you could get 3-5 of you guys and sue him for the half a million dollars he stole from you guys. i think that it would be worth it...just to get rid of this guy for good.

It ppl like him that gives aftermarket turners a bad name. OMG I feel for the chap in PA. I do hope J/H will go to jail as a tightend and comeout a wide reciver

I read the article as well. It is in this month's C&D under Csaba Csere's column. This basically confirms the stories of people like No Mercy (and the other guy, forgot his name) who have posted on the internet, not that I didn't believe them in the first place. This puts all doubts to rest.

Despite the facts, Csere still fails to openly criticize Hennesey in the article, probably for the reasons Adam stated above.

Good luck to anyone who decides to follow through with the lawsuit.
