Anyone have a Supersprint Exhaust??

Has anyone installed a Supersprint exhaust on their M5? I see lots of posts on the B&B, but none on the Supersprint.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sandy,

I have Supersprint on my Imola Beast. They look FABULOUS!! If you are looking for alot more rumble than stock, you will be dissapointed however.. The Supersprint Magnums are just a little deeper than the stock exhaust... The look is tremendous however.. the tips are great! and all polished stainless steel!

My advice... If you are looking for more sound and don't mind paying a premium over other exhaust systems?, buy the Dinan exhaust. If you want looks and also want to save $700.00, get the Supersprints!

The Supersprint are very nicely constructed, the tips are chromed plated, and are not truly fully stainless steel construction. Although are very nice in appearence. Much nicer than stock or the Dinan tips IMHO. The tone is somewhat sedate for an after market exhaust.

Is the Supersprint system 100% stainless? According to their website, they state they are fully stainless. However, Oak says they are chrome plated. Can you give me some insight. I don't want an obnoxious system. But I do want some mean looking tips. What is the diameter of your exhaust tips? Who did you buy your system from? Cost is a concern, do you think the Dinan system is worth the additional $700? Is the quality supposed to be better? Thanks.

It seems they are almost 100% stainless.. looks like only the tips are chrome plated. However, the rest is polished stainless.

Someone correct me please if I am wrong on this?...

Andy,

They look pretty awesome. I am looking forward to seeing your upclose pictures. Did you install the system yourself? I am assuming the original mufflers were cut off and you either weld on the new system or do you clamp on the mufflers to the existing pipes? Do you know what the diameter of the tips are? It appears that Supersprint quotes 90mm on their site. Thanks again.

Sandy

Andy,

Have you had a chance to take some up close pictures of your Supersrint exhaust?

The Supersprint Looks good, but if you want to kick it up a notch ...go with the Dinan!

I installed the Supersprint, and will be switching to the Dinan soon.

If you would like my de-installed supersprint, contact me by email.
