...well, its been some time since I went to the 'ring, and since Frits was going, as well as Derek - - OK - - I started the 3+ hour drive before 6am. Then I came upon what looked like 50 police cars etc and ambulances and helicopters on the road near Liege, bad accident with a bus - one killed;

...very sad seeing all those folks injured along the road - - not good....
...approaching the 'ring the traffic got bad - uh oh, it was DTM weekend
...anyway I finally made it there, hit the track with Frits as a passenger;
...then Frits started his fast laps - here headed out with Derek;
...a usual day with plenty of nice cars, one thing you can say for sure about the 'ring, if you throw a rock you'll either hit a Porsche GT3RS or an M3 - my fav is the GT2;
...a nice supercharged M3 and another M3;
...amazing how exotic the rentals are getting;
...of course the large F10 M5 ring taxi was in use, no doubt thrilling the occupants with the similated sound of a real v8 in a car the size of an E34 - just kidding

...and one thing you just can't stand, it's when these guys park their cars next to you, like they did here in this shot of my car parked - - you know - - so when the crowd is around admiring your M5
theirs gets seen ;
...overall, a nice day - a little warm, but a good time for gear heads.
