what's the highest mileage M5 ?

as the title says . What's the highest mileage M5 that you guys have seen, and was the motor original?

For the record, mine recently hit 137,000 miles.

Don't remember the thread but another similar thread like this was on a while back and there are a few members that have broken 200k mi One even claimed 185k mi with original bearings. So who knows.

I'm sure someone who's been around longer and more knowledgable will chime in.

Whoa, hold on a sec. So you're saying most E39 M5's will need bearings done somewhere before 185,000 miles?

370,000 miles
not original owner
unknown if original bearings:

300,000 miles
original owner
on original bearings:
300,000 miles finally

3rd was member
tranck
278,000 miles
original owner
2 sets of bearings
2nd set was not needed
2000 M5 - 278,000 miles - Wrecked for Sale
engine is still racking up miles in member mattmartindrift's car:
Almost M5 drift car (s62 powered e39)

4th is member
jfman
270,000 miles
3rd owner
on original bearings

jfman also referred to an early car in germany
that had 274,000 miles in 2009
if it was a 1998 car it could be @ ~320,000 - 330,000 miles
