Mediabridge 1500 Issue

Hey guys, so I just installed (or attempted) the Mediabridge in my 01 M5 w/DSP. The dsp converter piggy backed onto the power from the amp per BSWs videos. Here is my problem. When I plug my iPod in, the car still thinks there's a CD player. When I plug my iPhone in the screen locks with "accessory connected". When either are plugged into the MB unit, they charge. I just can't get any iPod or bluetooth connectivity. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Is your CD changer still connected? Did you check the dip switches to match your car? (in the manual)

also be sure to lock the ipod before connecting AND turning on your car. See if that works.

I'm pretty sure I tried this, but I'll give it another go.

that is normal- Cd1-track 1 shows on the screen at start of play, if you press Cd track 2 button the voice announces "folder mode" , press 1, says "track mode"
read the dice instructions again, download and update the firmware, set the dip switches to suit your car, (4:3/ 16:9) etc, and set scroll mode, then the artist/song /track info should start to scroll across screen after initial cd1, track 1 etc.

Ok so i updated the firmware and locked the iPod. The iPod at least registers the MB on the iPod screen, so that's something. I can't change tracks, just the 'CD.' I've still yet to get any audio.

So you don't hear the voice say "Song Mode"?

With your iPod, can you reach a WiFi signal and try another music source like Pandora? I'm saying this so that you can have some control over what to play since you go directly to Accessory Mode when you plug in your iPod.

Also, on your iPod make sure you are using the correct output. You do that by double-tapping the home button to bring up the App Switcher. Then swipe from left to right in order to see the icon to choose your output. You'll want to choose "MEDIABRIDGE". If you've paired the iPod to the MediaBridge using Bluetooth the sound could be going out that interface instead.

I'm not sure I follow you. I can't find anything like that on my iPod. I just plugged and played with it when it was in the Intravee in my 540. The iPhone does go into accessory mode, but when i hit the home button twice, I can only stop/skip or open my music.

Haven't been able to pair anything yet either. I've gotten nothing coming out of this MB except power.

have you done the first part of the set up after everything is connected, which is from the dice instruction sheet: switch power on, hit Mode switch on your head unit, and then within 30secs hit track right button and you can toggle Dice thru USB, B/Tooth, Aux, with the track buttons, then pressing track 1 button to confirm one. you select USB for your ipod, which is where it should be plugged in, have you done all this?
