135k M5 - How does this sound?

I'm M5 shopping and can't make up my mind whether I go out and spoil myself with an E60, or if I play it more economical and go for a very clean 135k beast I found. I took a video of the car today with the engine idling with the ac on in 95 degree weather. I dont expect any concrete conclusions to be drawn, but if anything sounds of the ordinary, a heads up would be nice!

The problem with this car is it is at a ford dealer and there are no service records available and they said they cant get them from BMW. How on earth is someone supposed to look this type of stuff up? Does anyone here have a way to get it done?

VIN - WBSDE934X3CF93077

Thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom.

Not sure why it uploaded as private from my phone, my apologies. Clear cache and try again, should be public now.

Go to a BMW dealer and ask if they can run the VIN. The will be able to pull up all the warranty work done through BMWNA but not any work after since dealership computers aren't linked to each other. You should be fine unless the service advisor decides to be a jerk and not let you see anything due to privacy issues.

I know that doesn't tell you everything but it can tell you how the previous owner, and it looks like one from the Carfax, treated his car during their early stages.

do a google search on the VIN, see if you can find an older listing and contact a prior owner that way... I found a listing on Salvage something or other that has pictures that look like it is a private sale. Maybe the owner before he traded it??

Well, I took the wife to see the car today and she put the brakes on. She really would like to see me in an E60. She likes them a lot more, mostly i'm thinking because she can drive it since it isnt manual!

FWIW, I have both AN '03 M5 and '05 545...if you go the E60 route, get a 545/550 with sport package. My 545 sport actually handles better than my M5. Power is another story....
