Post Digital speedometer

On 2001 nav screen, hit menu, go to on board computer, go to speed, hit button twice. This gives you average speed, (really speed at that moment and then average speed from that moment on). Set cruise control to 60 (or any speed), hit button twice and your digital speed will show on nav screen. Hit the button twice again and it will reread your digital speed. This way you can easily check your speedometer for its true speed as often as you want. My analogue speedo is 2-2.5 mph lower than the digital @ 60mph. Is 2000 nav the same? Seems I remember Greg I think talking about converting meters etc. I'll have to search.

Greg was talking in earlier threads about converting meters per second. Was this a part of the secret settings section of nav unit or was that the regular way the 2000 nav works I hope the 2000 works the same way as 2001 for digital speed, its so easy and since its new to me, I'm having fun with it. I'm one of those guys who sets his digital watch to the exact time (so banks cant close early etc) and I like the idea of knowing my exact speed as well. Its mostly about cops I guess. I like to use cruise control, using the buttons to stay in flow of traffic and not to fast, then I punch it for short bursts and fall back to the set speed. This the best speed control I've ever seen, easy to use the +/- buttons as throttle in fast lane traffic everyday driving. I use a V1 also. How accurate is the nav GPS,anybody know for sure?
