On my way to 600 WHP

I had another 01 M5 a few years back. Sold it only because I got a great deal on it....regretted it ever since. Afterwards the mission for a new car began. I had an 08 Audi S6 v10... Nice but did not have the speed i wanted. Then an 2011 S5... sweet car but Way too small. Had an E60 for a bit, but when the crappy SMG blew, it really put me off of the car. Great engine...bad car...IMO. So I went back to the beast. Still my favorite car to drive. Nothing else like it. Put 4 sets of golf clubs in and do close to 190mph on your way to the golf coarse...it's a beautiful thing.

Finally getting it Close to finished. At least close enough to post a few pics. Still only running 6.5lbs of boost. New pulleys will be in next week, and we should be at 9.5lbs... had to recalibrate for high altitude. Im in calgary, Alberta and in parts we are at close to 4000ft.

Here are a few on the mile long list of mods,

ACS Front add on lip spoilers

ACS Side skirts

ACS Rear diffuser

ACS Roof spoiler

Brembo 380mm 4 piston fronts

Brembo 345mm 4 piston rears

ACS Short Shift

ACS Hand Brake

ACS Aluminum Pedal Set

ACS Aluminum Foot Rest

ACS Suspension Kit

TSW nurburgring 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 Rear wrapped in Nitto NT 05's

Dinan Rear Strut Bar

Euro headlights with 600K HID

UUC Motorworks – Ultimate V8 clutch

and lightweight flywheel

Pagid blue brakepads F&R

Replaced 3:15 with 3:45 rear end... as well swapped out factory Lslip for an OS Giken LSD

RMS Full custom supercharger

Front mount Intercooler

Full AEM meth kit

Supersprint Headers

Supersrpint cat delete pipes,

Supersprint x-pipe

ACS Mufflers..... CRAZY CRAZY SOUND

Clik this link for a Dyno Run

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGq3dFhJPvA

More to come. Will post new pics as we get things done....the never ending $pit!

We are only runnig just over 500 WHP now..as per dyno, but are hoping to be at just over 600WHP with new boost levels....should be good times.

I will have a full build post in a little bit. All pics of teardown and build up to finish, but for now

Here are a few pics

Let me know what you think...

Looks good and familiar.

I hope you have the improvements from tim's version of the kit.

I've been told that it is a solid kit now, feels that way so far , but I would be very interested to know what issues he was having....I can let you know if they have been addressed. So far it is a pretty solid feel. First dyno shows a really smooth power line( I'll post it shortly). I'm still waiting for one final tune (once new pulleys are on). From there will really know what the final product is like. I'm happy so far, but have only run through a few tanks of fuel. So far so good, but I'll certainly keep things up to date if anything comes up.

LOL.

Question for the OP...
Correct me if I am wrong, but how are you going to get 600 WHP on 9.5 psi?

Nice kit you got there, are you just running open air vents on the CCV? Are you running any vacuum?

3.45 diff with 600 WHP? What for? Even factory 3.15 is too short for that amount of power...

Ony running just over 6 lbs right now, but I will post new graph as soon as we change pulleys. Should be a good comparison. Hope to have it done by mid next week.

As for the 3:45's....I ordered most of the parts all at once. It seems for anyone that agrees with the change there is someone who disagrees. I don't really have any MORE traction issues than I did before, and once you get it rolling I do notice a difference. Not sure if it is something I would change if I did it all again, maybe on a car that does not have as much power, but its done :-) and I do like it. Wether someone is a fan or not of the dinan s3, it is a nice kit and feels great to drive...they have it done so there must be at least a little logic behind changing the ratio....but I do agree that it is not absolutely necessary.
