Holley EFI says that 5/16" fuel systems are good for 750-800 HP, so you'll probly only need a fuel pump.

What does Holley know about fuel injection?

Spend a little more time here and you will realize the folly of your naivete, and be recommending several thousand dollars of required parts to support that amount of HP.

All of this assumes that the engine is in good working order, the clutch is up to the task, etc., etc.

500 WHP - $8000 (RK, ESS etc.)-$50000+ (Dinan)
600 WHP - $25000 plus?

As you can see, there is a HUGE range. The DInan S3 was the first and most expensive, but that is due to the fact that they REQUIRE all the previous components be installed....suspension, Big Boy brakes, Headers, V Stacks, 3.45 diff, Throttle Bodies, Intake etc, etc. At the same time there were a few POWERFUL semicustom setups like Discovery Automotive (mamsterla's Blue Beast)...etc. Those original owners may have had SIX figures into those things! Then Peter's beast (Herrubermensch)....

At 500 WHP, you are prolly OK on many stock bits........heading into 600 WHP, you are definitely looking at at LEAST larger fuel system, cooling upgrades, CLUTCH, etc. etc. Many would argue that at 600 whp, you need reinforced block, sub frame augmentation, etc.

Both RK, and ESS are by far the best bang for the buck. And best yet......our friends at RK are FELLOW board members, friends and fellow enthusiasts with a love affair with the E39 platform
I figured $8-10k was probably the entry level cost. My car is a Dinan S1 plus it already has bigger brakes and S3 suspension. Time to upgrade? I'm not familiar with RK. Where are they located?

To answer the question on a more serious note.

500 WHP : 7-8k

600 WHP : 15-20k ontop of the 7-8k to do it right. That is with a built engine, or $90 ontop of 7-8k. That would be simply changing your pulley and belt. But i wouldn't count on that lasting you too long, the $90 route.

700 WHP : If you did the 600whp the built motor route, then you need about 3-4k worth of stuff. That would be a meth system + fuel system + smaller pulley.

The 800whp+ number is a little more complicated, i should be around that mark once fedex has shipped all my stuff. I think i may have limited myself on pump gas running 10:1 compression. I knew i should have dropped it to 9:1 or 8.5:1...owell.

direct injected LPG, lower calorific value but you have 110 octanes and intake cooling at once...at half the price of gasoline
