Triple brake lights on dash FTW!! Help?

Sorry for making this thread! It just happened to me with no prior signs. Im pissed, period.

Background: this morning i was working around pedals area, i was checking for the clutch stop and saw that it has two screws of the pedal area cover missing, that bugged me and i proceeded to remove the cover and see whats there! During this process i did hand pushed brake pedal couple of times.
Ok that said, just in case has something to do with the problem.. Tonight after work and for the first time to drive after the morning event, it started and drove fine for a mile id say and then the brake pedal started to feel hard and the car lost power as if it was braking. I kept driving for another mile and then the dsc/brake/abs lights lit orange, i immediatly pulled over and shut off car, let it for a minute and turned on and drove fine for a minute and the lights came right after, i was 1 minute away from brothers home and decided to keep driving even with the hardened brake pedal, and car litterarly breaking alone. Reached fine with no pad smell at all but the front left wheel area was squeaking a bit. Shut of car and dont even look at it. I drove in my e30 back home.

Question one, Where to start?
Question two, i think car is a no keeper?

Today on my way to work i stopped at my brothers home to look at the M, checked fuses 17,30,31 and they are all ok, checked the abs module for possible leaks and it looked dry, i yet have to check if the fluid is low.. Anyways turned car on and drove it around the block, the brakes felt normal until a minute or so, the pedal hardened again and the lights came on all 3 at once, no ses though, turned car off and then on after a minute, drove fine for a minute and again, pedal hardened and lights came on. Ill hook the peake tonight and see if it throws any code, its really annoying stuff!
BTW: all instrument cluster works normal even with lights on, so i can discard grounding points?

Ive read plenty and still didnt stumble across somebody having my "same" symptoms!

My number 1 symptom is that the brake pedal hardens and the car starts to brake by itself then the triple lights come on but nothing else on the cluster gets affected at all. Every gauge works perfect, so i guess this discards the 4 wheel sensors?

My suspect is the brake pressure sensor thats on the back of the abs pump. Anyone confirm this to me??

Please guys chime in, i need this solved in the cheapest of the ways..

Ive been reading this thread where bluebee explains well the situation but still dont have any infocon testing the brake pressure sensor:

So i assume i have another problem to deal with now!! What a frustration ive had a squeaky brake pedal since day 1 of owning the car, does this put me in the frozen booster from acumulating water boat? I have to inspect the booster area for cloging /debris accumulation and other signs to confirm
The booster failure! Ill hopefuly do tonight. But can this frozen booster issue trigger on the 3 dash lights?

I beleive ill sell the car after this issue is solved or before solving! I cant stand these issues anymore.
I might be the one and a half months only owner of a beast...

People buy 9 year old cars with virtually no maintenance history- owned by people who did nothing more than the minimum- and feel somehow that it is the car's fault...

Here is a question:

Did you confirm that the brake fluid on your car was flushed periodically as BMW recommends? So 4 times over the least 9 years? As you may know, old brake fluid absorbs water leading to corrosion and failure of the components in the braking system.....

Anyway, your comment below is probably a core issue with the spate of problems you are experiencing:

Likely the prior owners ALL felt the same way. Poor beast.

^^ not sure if they flushed the fluid regularly as bmw recommends, at least it showed proper maintenence up until 46k miles! Have to ask who pulled the vin and cheked that for me. Anyways ill check the fluid tonight, my problem does start after couple of minutes driving an happened yesterday all of a sudden for the first time in 45 days with no prior signs at all. By the cheapest of the ways i meant that i hope its only a wheel sensor for example! And not the abs module.. So please dont misunderstand me. Maybe i didnt express it in the proper way excuse me then. I just want to know if someone experienced my same situation please chime in.. And let me know where to start!

If your car could speak, it would be asking if the owner is a keeper.

So you were playing around with the trim by your pedals, then pulled it off and started pumping the pedal by hand.....

....then immediately afterwards, whilst driving around your brakes and pedal start acting odd !

Please check the positioning of the brake light switch (which can be easily moved iirc) and brake pedal and make sure it all looks logically in place since your fiddling around.

Good Luck !

M5 london, the weird brake issue started on first roll after i messed around the pedals trim. I did pump the pedal few times to see if i can notice where the squeak was coming from but again my intentions were only to see what under that panel.. I didn really pay attention to other things! Does the brake switch do anything else beside light the rear bulbs? Now im concidering the switch has something to do.. But doesnt this make the lights to always be on?
