Quick Price Check: Exhaust

Quick OT thread. I am searching for a new exhaust and came across this SS setup, for a steal of a price on vividracing.com

Supersprint Stainless Exhaust BMW E39 M5 99-03

It retails for like $2100 from turner. Am i missing something here?

I just looked at SS website and the crossed referenced the part number from Vivid Racing's website. SS website says its just for the Right Muffler. Supersprint North America : Supersprint Performance Systems

On turner's site they list 2 separate part numbers.

Might want to call Vivid Racing about that. I know on Vivid's page it says it is for both sides, but I'd call to make sure. If its legit it is a great price.

See, that is what I was thinking. It seems like the price for one muffler, but the description says right and left. I will contact them and ask.

WHY???

Order it, retain a copy of their offer (ie their contract) and hold them to it.

A have a real problem with Vivid and in particular Dan (the ower) and their business model... full disclosure

I have a feeling that price is for one side. if it is for both that is a great price and I would consider getting it as the stock exhaust is too quiet

I know of someone trying to get rid of his super sprint mufflers. I forget what he was looking for, for them, but I can ask!

It's not a legal contract if he simply orders it and pays the stated price. They can honor it out of good will, but he cannot legally hold them to it.

Oh, Oh, Oh, I love legaltalk

It is a contract and they are agreeing to sell both sides at that price.

I know of someone as well (probably talking about the same person). But, if I can get them at this price, buying them used would be foolish.

I tend to disagree about purchasing something online being a binding contract. I have ordered things many times, only to have someone come back and tell me that it is no longer in stock, or they sold out so they won't be offering at that price next time it is posted. There are plenty of ways for them to get out of it.
