Replacing speakers w/ M Audio. Is BSW the only option?

So I'm toying with the idea of replacing my front door and rear deck speakers. Are there any easy solutions besides BSW? I'm reading threads now here and reading their install instructions as well. Even their install seems a bit hacked up...especially the rears.
I'm not sure I grasp what's going on in the front door especially. So there's three speakers, but one is a two-way with two plugs? Not sure I've ever heard of that before. I guess that's why there aren't too many options eh?
I thought I'd be able to buy a pair of components for the front door and just replace the tweeter and the midbass and not even use the crossover that comes witht the new components since the amp is doing all of that already. But that doesn't seems so easy with this 'midrange bridge' thingy up front I'm reading about.
If any of you know of some helpful threads here or have easily gotten your door/deck speakers replaced with something off the shelf (Crutchfield?) please let me know.
Fwiw everytime I peep BSW's site it says 'backordered' anyways...so maybe even they aren't an option anymore.

So, I kid you not, after owning this car for almost 4 months I was recently reviewing all my paperwork. Included in the paperwork were a list of mods done.

One of them said BSW speakers, even though it was never listed otherwise. I have little reason to doubt it - as my sound is quite good and clear (for a non-audiophile).

Anyway, if you are ever in the area you are welcome to take a listen and see if you like it.

Those look pretty handy actually, but my concern was more from a wiring standpoint. I don't really 'get' what I'm seeing regarding their (to me) funky wiring setup. Was hoping someone who'd dropped in some 'normal' speakers would have some insights.

If you have M audio, you have one coax in the front door and another tweeter next to the mirror. Standard DSP, you have one woofer in the door, a midrange "fill" by the doorhandle, and the tweeter up by the mirror.

Yes I have the M audio. OK I guess I was reading up and watching videos on the Standard DSP w/o realizing it. Kinda perplexed me.

The way I understand it, the door speakers are dual voicecoil. One voicecoil for audio, the other is for Nav. I may be wrong, but that is the way it was explained to me. I never heard of a speaker working in that way......

I think it uses the mid/high in the coax speaker for the nav voice, which is most likely controlled through the amp. AFAIK the mid/high also plays music. I think the woofer has a single voice coil, and the mid/high is another.

I called BSW and spoke with them on replacing the speakers for my m audio equipped M. Crazy as it sounds, he swayed me against buying the speaker upgrade as it would only be marginally better then stock. He pretty much stated the cost compared to sound quality increase over stock was not worth the price. I was surprised to get turned away from a several hundred dollar upgrade. I still need to buy the sub, but always seem to have a need for the cash before the music.

Not saying the speakers don't make a difference, just relaying my experience with BSW, which was positive in my opinion.
