Cosmetic opinions need. Kidney grills & heat exchanger options.

I have an extreme attachment to my chrome kidney grills, let me say that first..... Josiah was kind enough to send me out some matte black kidneys to try out, but I have been sitting back looking at my car trying to figure out what I want to do.

Keep the kidneys chrome? Matte black? Black chrome? Gloss black? Paint the HE black? I really like it raw, but should I go with the murdered out look? My car is modded aggressively, so you can't really consider it a sleeper, what's the point in painting the HE black?

Opinions and points are well welcomed......

I think the chrome kidneys mesh well with the aluminum HE and the chrome lips on my Dinan wheels.....

I do love the blacked out kidneys but to each his own Tim. If you like the chrome then leave it. IF you do, then leave the HE as is. IF you go black then paint to match.

If you like the chrome keep the chrome.

I say leave it alone. I like having just a little bit of chrome tying things together on the front. Never been a fan of the "murdered out" look, but to each their own!

Not in the choice selection but is it possible to wrap in CF or there too many issues wrapping.

EDIT: NM I'm an idiot you'd have a seam. Strike my idea I'd say Black Chrome.

Leave them chromed. They match the overall look of your car.

Wrap it machined aluminum look, the chrome is too reflective imo.

I've always thought chrome kidneys look best on darker colored cars and black kidneys nicely set off lighter colored cars. I'd stay with the stock kidneys.

As for the HE, I think it would look good painted black. It would make it a bit more stealthy from a distance.

For your car i would leave it alone it looks good with a little bit of chrome. But if you want to change it up go black chrome because your wheels are not painted and i think it would look out of place if you went murdered out up front. thats just my opinion its your car so i would go what your gut is telling you.

Everything hangs together well with a clean classy look, including the Dinan wheels that tie to BMW's sanctioned aftermarket history with this
platform. No need to go murdered. The IC makes all the statement needed.
