Help:Multiple problems on the Beast!

Hi guys,Ok,im gonna try to give as much information on my problems as much as i can to give the board a chance of helping me out:
My car is a '00 Beast with 174000 on the clock,Evolve AlphaN,Power Tune,Headers, decat and straight pipes
Work on the car since i bought it includes new radiator,new coolant pipes,new alternator,new thermostat,water pump,fan,fan clutch,new vanos O-rings.
Car shows only 1 fault (E-box fan)
1uring spirited driving(maybe 10-15 mins of around 200kph)when i stop at the traffic lights i will see a huge puff of white smoke(really really white and its a lot of smoke)
2:The car has a metallic rattle when you stab the throttle but on idle its just quiet BUT also when you accelerate from around 2k in 2nd the you can hear the rattle again till the revs cross 3500 then the rattle quitens down.
3:The car has hesitation when you change from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th,jus a bit of hesitation then it pulls.
4:Cars drinks fuel like nobody's business.
Even though i have all these mods,i cant keep up wit a stock '00 and a stock '03 leaves me embarrisngly!

Proposed action plan

I have decided to order new CPS,Crank position sensors, all oxygen sensors(to try to cure the fuel consumption),New fuel pump and see how it goes!

I am not an expert but before throwing parts at the car (like CPS and O2) I would try to have the car looked at for the White smoke and engine rattle.

Have you pulled any codes?

Is there a shop nearby that can pull codes?

The engine rattle, hesitation and white smoke are far too serious to be ignored -

Is the white smoke from under the hood or out the exhaust? Are you using the right coolant/dist H2O mix?

+1 on this. Could very well be a head gasket if white smoke is coming out of the exhaust.

Thanks for the replies guys.
The CPS and O2 sensors are due for replacement anyway as the ones on the car date back to the factory.
The smoke is comin out from the exhaust only when i stop after hard acceleration, during acceleration and normal driving there is no smoke at all,the smoke behaves like a car with a failed oil separator but iv heard our separators never fail.
The coolant is the one from the dealership and i pour one bottle of coolant then top up with water after radiator flushing!
I have tried to look around town to check if any of the shops can do a compression test but none of them want to mess with the S62.

The car has no codes except E-box fan!Which leads me to believe that the problem is hardware related. Also i think the engine rattle might be caused by old CPS failing to advance the timing quickly enough(but im not a mechanic so im just guessing)coz during idle there is no rattle,it only happens when you accelerate suddenly, then it quietens when the revs reach 3.5k,this only happens mostly in second gear when i try to accelerate hard from low revs.

I'll google the compression test procedure and try to check it with my indy.

all compression testers are generic, there is nothing special about the equipment and procedure to the S62.

Spark plugs out, remove fuel pump fuse and go for it.

Thanks Raikku,js saw some on Ebay,so i'll place an order.Jus popped over to Bimmerforums and saw some info that you might need to know to help you guys diagnose my problem better,

-I'm not getting any milkshake colour on my oil cap
-I'm not loosing coolant and in fact i never top up coolant between service intervals
-Car has never overheated(in my ownership anyway)
-Oil consuption is not high at all,top up with only 500ml between service intervals!

Its just white smoke that is evident when i stop after hard acceleration.
