Do you ever have hot start issues?

I have another E-box fan that i'll put in over the weekend, thanks for the tip! What are hot start issues? The only symptom that i had when its hot is after some spirited driving the car will switch off on its own when i stop but when i start it it fires on the first kick, happened about 3 times in the past summer.

Hot start issue is usually ten to 15 minutes after shut down and is a very extended start. There seem to be very different symptoms when this unit fails. I suspect how it fails to be as significant as the fact it failed. Some have no issues(cooler climates). Very little is known about the absolute function. You are in one of the hottest climates so you might be the first to see somethings the rest don't.

The oil separators can plug but not heard that in years most of us have a few air leaks that keep the flow high enough to keep them clean.

Had a snoop around the engine bay yesterday evening and found out that my tuppert cover gaskets are leaking badly, can they have an input on the white smoke issue?

do you get smell of burning engine oil from the engine area when the white smoke thing is happening? could be your leaking covers are the problem, pumping oil onto exhaust, and the low power is from oil leaking into spark plug cavities.

tuppert= Valve cover? If that is correct and from the comment above. If your covers are leaking oil then they are also letting a ton of unmetered air into the engine. Unmetered air would explain most of your problems in performance. The Crankcase should be under vacuum with this engine so has a free path to the plenum. I would have thought that your MAFless tune would take care of most of those issues but the oil rich air may hit the O2s and the trim would cut the fuel way back. No now as I write makes perfect sense. You found it good man.
