PPI Costs BMW Dealership.

What are the ball park costs of a PPI from a dealership? Does it vary with cars. Like a PPi with a 328i vs an M5?

All replies are appreciated.

I paid $160 after taxes for my PPI at a dealership. They scanned the computers and gave me a checklist of things they covered. I've seen more detailed PPI's but I was satisfied with what they gave me.

I think I paid under $200 in 2007 at a BMW dealership in Montreal.

But thats just scanning for errors? Did they do an in depth inspection of the mechanicals?

Yes, the checklist had a list of mechanical items they looked at. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I paid $190 in nor cal last year at a dealer. I took my next car to a BWM specific indy shop and it was $140 there and waaaay more detailed. Going to the dealer isn't worth it IMO. A lot of techs there are dumb as rocks or don't care

Well. Im possibly going to have my friend do it. Hes the master tech at our BMW and he knows the e39 inside out....he owns one :P. But yea, im probably going to have to pay either way because its the dealership that has to schedule the PPI. So im just asking about prices. Thanks for everything

All the BMWs now sold. Now back in a Porsche. There is no substitute.
